Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of machines with the ability to complete basement excavations start to finish. Operator hired will be operating new CAT 320 Next Gen.
Duties
- Detail excavations to underside of footings
- Understand grade stakes, blueprints, first calls and geodetic elevations
- Understand how to lay out excavations and trench in Water/Sewer/Storm
- Maintain equipment by performing daily inspections , maintenance and minor repairs. Operator must keep equipment clean!!!
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly with final grade and demolitions
- Experience in Residential construction is preferred.
- Ability to operate other pieces of equipment
- Positive attitude and prompt attendance
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members on-site.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices in all operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$45.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
