Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating excavators, both mini and full size to perform various tasks including residential and commercial excavation, backfilling, trenching, grading, finishing, basement digging, etc. Your mechanical knowledge and expertise in operating heavy equipment will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities

- Operate excavators both mini and full size to perform tasks such as residential and commercial excavation, backfilling, trenching, grading, finishing, basement digging, etc.

- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise excavation work.

- Safely operate equipment to minimize the risk of accidents or damage to property

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning

- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate excavation activities

- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times

Skills

- 1 years experience as an Excavator Operator.

- Proficiency in operating both mini and full size excavators.

- Strong knowledge of excavation techniques and procedures, basement digging is an asset.

- Ability to read and comprehend blue prints and project plans to maintain elevations

- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on equipment including daily greasing, fueling and shoveling tracks.

- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

- Physically fit and able to assist labour crew with duties when required. - Completion of safety paperwork. - Follow safety policy, procedures and safe job practices, wear PPE.
