Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy machinery, particularly excavators, and will be responsible for performing various tasks on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders and skid steers to complete construction projects. Perform site preparation tasks including digging, grading, excavating, backfilling and trenching as required. Ensure the safe operation of machinery while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with other crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Experience in commercial driving is preferred for transporting heavy equipment. Proficient in operating various types of heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices. Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
