Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment and a strong mechanical aptitude. Experience working in a surface mine environment with aggregate material handling is an asset.
Duties
- Operate excavators, and other heavy equipment as assigned.
- Perform digging, loading trucks, stockpiling materials, stockpile management
- Working in congested site environments with multiple contractors working in tandem
- Digging out free faces from blasting operations
- Site prep for drilling operations, stripping down to bare rock or minimal overburden
- Other heavy equipment operator duties as assigned.
- Utilize machinery efficiently, be aware of basic mechanical functions and related proactive maintenance.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment
Requirements
- Prior experience in heavy equipment operation
- Proficiency in excavating, loading and working with hard rock materials
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery
- Drivers License and Clean Abstract
- References for related experience and competencies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
