The Events & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all fundraising initiatives, community outreach activities, and educational events for Hospice Georgina. This role plays a key part in raising awareness, securing funds to support Hospice Georgina's mission, and building strong relationships with the community, donors, volunteers, and partners.
The Events & Outreach Coordinator will work some evenings and weekends as required and must have access to a reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising & Event Management
Plan, organize, and execute all fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives throughout the year.
Develop creative strategies to increase donor engagement and financial support.
Manage event logistics, including venue arrangements, sponsorships, marketing, ticket sales, and volunteer coordination.
Track and report on fundraising goals, budgets, and outcomes.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify and pursue funding opportunities and partnerships.
Any other duties as needed and requested by the Executive Director
Educational & Community Outreach
Develop and coordinate educational presentations and outreach activities to raise awareness about Hospice Georgina's programs and services.
Build and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, local businesses, donors, and media outlets.
Represent Hospice Georgina at community events, health fairs, schools, and service clubs to increase visibility and engagement.
Create promotional materials and assist with social media and marketing efforts to support outreach and fundraising campaigns.
Administrative & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, outreach contacts, and event outcomes.
Provide regular reports to the Executive Director and Board on fundraising progress and outreach impact.
Assist in preparing materials for the Annual General Meeting and annual reports as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, or community outreach preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and social media platforms; experience with donor management software is an asset.
Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Pay: Start $25.00 hr after probation $27.00 hr
