Events Manager/ Banquet Manager

Job Description


Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Events Manager to oversee all aspects of their banquet operations at a large, well-recognized Edmonton venue.

Our clients\' space offers multiple conference rooms and banquet halls for corporate events, weddings, and other special occasions.
The Events Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of events from beginning to end, ensuring that every event is flawless and exceeds expectations.

Events Manager Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all banquet events, including weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions.
  • Manage all aspects of operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training of banquet staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.
  • Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet events to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage budgets to ensure that events are profitable and within budget.
  • Ensure that all facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as culinary and sales, to ensure that all events are executed seamlessly.
  • Manage inventory of banquet supplies, such as linens, china, and glassware, and ensure that they are well-maintained and in good condition.
  • Respond to client inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the venue\'s banquet operations remain competitive and innovative.
The successful candidate has:
  • Previous experience working as a banquet manager or events planner.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication as you will be required to communicate with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Be able to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to challenges that may arise.
  • The ability to manage your time effectively and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Polish speaking would be considered an asset.
  • Be able to work with multiple board members.
