Responsibilities
Provides superior customer experience to both internal and external customers.
Ensuring inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of superior guest experience. Discuss and cooperate with other departments to coordinate resort activities and events.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
Adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations and legislation regarding health and safety, accommodation standards, and company policies and procedures.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Being knowledgeable of information on the resort and surrounding area.
Responding to guest inquiries regarding policies (i.e. License of Occupation), resort events, resort activities, and general information accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare Monthly and Weekly Event Summary. Send out operation notes to other departments (i.e. Maintenance Manager, Security Team).
Assist with set up and tear down of events.
Host and manage children and adult activities.
Publish the Highland Pines Resort monthly newsletter and calendar.
Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by maintaining a knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures.
Working shifts, availability on weekends and holidays.
Requirements
Proven experience in event planning or management within hospitality settings such as hotels, restaurants, or banquet facilities.
Experience in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience using a graphic design platform (i.e. Canva)
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
Exceptional problem solving and guest recovery skills
Must be a self-motivated and well-organized individual
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude; strong time management skills are essential.
