DUTIES
The Events and Marketing Assistant, Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics (TRU Gaglardi) is responsible for assisting staff and faculty in the planning, coordinating and delivering a wide range of website support, activities, special projects and events for the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics. The position works closely with the TRU Gaglardi Communications Officer to support the broad communication and marketing strategies within the School. Aligning content with TRU Brand, TRU's Strategic Priorities and School strategic goals, the Events and Marketing Assistant, TRU Gaglardi liaises with a variety of on-campus departments and relevant off-campus community partners to support the delivery of events, activities and special projects. This position will also assist units with all web related issues, changes and updates.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assists faculty and staff in executing events: organizing and coordinating schedules, booking spaces, hosting visitors, maintaining invitee databases, designing and distributing marketing materials, coordinating with multiple units on campus, outlining and executing marketing plans, setting up sites, preparing gift bags, organizing catering contracts, booking required equipment and ensuring seamless overall event hosting in a variety of venues.
