Job Summary

We're hiring a part-time

Event Sales Agent

to win bookings for GAMEYARD's mobile tactical laser-tag events across Milton/Halton and the West GTA. This is a remote, commission-driven contractor role for a closer who can open doors with schools, corporates, and community groups, explain our two packages clearly, and convert interest into confirmed events. You'll own the full outbound cycle--prospect, pitch, follow up, and close--while coordinating hand-off to operations. Monthly retainer plus commission on closed events. Must have a car and be able to travel within ~50 km for meetings when needed.

Responsibilities

Prospect & outreach: build targeted lists; call/email/DM decision-makers at schools, camps, HR/office admins, rec centres, and community orgs. Qualify & pitch: understand their event (age group, date, location, goals), recommend the right package, and handle common objections (space, safety, budget, weather). Close: send simple proposals/invoices, secure deposits, and lock in dates; coordinate with operations for scheduling. Pipeline discipline: keep a tight follow-up cadence, maintain accurate notes in our simple CRM, and report weekly activity and results. Local presence: attend occasional in-person meetings or pop-ups; represent GAMEYARD professionally at school/corporate fairs. Market feedback: surface lead sources, pricing signals, and messaging that convert so we can iterate fast as a startup.

Experience

Proven track record in commission-based sales (part-time or contractor) closing services or events in Ontario. Confident communicator on phone, email, and in person; comfortable presenting to school administrators and corporate coordinators. Organized, persistent follow-up style with basic CRM habit. Must have valid Ontario driver's licence, a reliable car, and willingness to travel within ~50 km when needed (role is otherwise remote). Nice to have: experience selling into schools, camps, HR/office experience teams, or community recreation; familiarity with Milton/Halton networks.
