Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager Compression & Process Applications, the purpose of the Estimator is to work with the Manufacturing, Engineering and Application teams to estimate fair costing and delivery impact of changes to work in progress.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
Read drawings to understand the scope of the work order and general specifications associated with the job.
Conduct detailed examination of job specifications and customer change requests to provide accurate estimates of costs and hours for engineering, design, fabrication, labour, delivery, installation and manpower required to manufacture the product to the required standards.
Compiling and reviewing submittals, materials procurement, and labour and equipment management on multiple projects.
Communicate schedule changes to all functional areas including production and project management on hours and adjustments to cost estimates.
Assist in developing tools for improving accuracy and timelines of estimating cost.
Establish the manufacturing shop order with budget materials, dollars, and labour hours.
Working with vendors for competitive and accurate pricing.
Utilizes the experience and expertise of cross-functional team members to ensure best costs and productivity requirements are achieved.
Qualifications
5+ years\' experience in compression and process engineering fabrication estimating.
Technical diploma, trade and/or related industry/manufacturing/technical experience.
Ideal candidate will have solid background in a trade, enhanced with Manufacturing Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering /Industrial Engineering qualification.
Manufacturing process planning and estimating experience in precision machining is a must.
Sound working knowledge of production equipment and the manufacturing processes for welding and fabrication.
A results-oriented attitude with solid analytical, critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to read blueprints and proficient in MS Office.
Demonstrated focus on quality, accuracy and thoroughness.
Detail oriented, meticulous and attentive, and a good team player with integrity, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
Experience in SAP considered an asset.
Customer focused with the ability to meet deadlines.
