Job Description

Enviro Balance is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and client-focused HVAC Estimating Assistant to join our team. This is a desk-based position responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for our Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) projects.

Prior experience reading mechanical drawings is an asset, but we are happy to train the right candidate with strong administrative abilities and a willingness to learn technical concepts.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update our list of active tenders. Review project documents to define the scope and help prepare cost estimates for TAB projects. Use the provided project data to complete accurate cost sheets and proposals. Submit proposals on time and follow up with clients to gather feedback. Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for document creation, spreadsheets, and presentations. Work closely with the Project Coordinator to ensure a smooth project handoff after award. Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and clients Collaborate with team members to enhance office efficiency and workflow.

Requirements

Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace and cloud-based file sharing. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Ontario residency and ability to work from a quiet, professional home office.

Nice to have (Training Provided)

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of HVAC systems or the TAB industry. Experience in working with construction tenders.
