Job Description

POSITION BACKGROUND:




The Estimating Administrator assists the estimating team with all functions related to pre-qualifications, proposals and company wide pricing.

CORE DUTIES:




Daily Administration

Download tender documents, create and save electronic project files Assist estimating team with tracking, organizing new requests and updating progress on ongoing requests Assist team with monitoring deadlines Assist team with gathering tender documentation and compiling required company and project specific information and attachments Requesting further information from clients Facilitate pre-qualification requests as required Liaise with project management team and external stakeholders to ensure accurate quoting information Collaborate with the purchasing team and suppliers to obtain sales quotes for proposals Assist estimating team with managing all company and client price lists and uploading into Ketek database Complete rental quotes as required General administrative support to the estimating team where necessary

Other Duties

Participate in weekly, monthly, and all other scheduled meetings to review department initiatives, upcoming projects, priorities, etc. Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned Work together with employees to help complete all required paperwork Successfully complete safety training as required on an ongoing basis Represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Vision and Mission Statements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:




Required

Minimum of 1-2 years of estimating administration/coordination experience High school diploma / GED Advanced skills in computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel Thrives in a fast-paced environment Must be able to adhere to tight time constraints and manage work accordingly Excellent verbal and written communication skills including editing and proofreading Ability to deal with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner Strong work ethic, ability to multi-task and detail oriented Ability to work independently or as part of a team Effective organization and listening skills

Preferred

Post-secondary education seen as an asset Experience working in oilfield and/or construction

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand/sit, talk/hear, use hands/fingers to operate a computer and telephone, stoop, and kneel Prolonged exposure to computer screens
