Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, ERP Solutions, this position is responsible for leading ERP solutions related activities that support the specialized systems for HR and Payroll and the corresponding user support; updating of requirements and training materials; design of new procedures, while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the following areas.
  • Collecting business requirements for HCM Oracle Cloud (HR, Payroll, Absence, Learning, ORC, etc.) projects and/or features;
  • Leading business process analysis partnering with business stakeholders;
  • Preparing gap analysis between current state and desired end state, understanding required functionalities and laying out the steps, processes and timelines necessary to proceed with design and implementation as well as partnering with the necessary stakeholders;
  • Researching system configuration and functionality, possible fixes, sources of error and workarounds for the business;
  • As the individual is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of specialized systems, the position is responsible for preparing technical and user documentation for clients and other ERP specialists;
  • Leading configuration activities as owner of specific HCM Oracle Cloud and stakeholder relationships to align outcomes to management expectations and generate required insights and outputs;
  • Creating implementation project documentation including schedules, plans, issues logs, and leading the coordination of fixes with other areas of the organization;
  • Performing testing and follow-up of system activities, identifying bugs, errors and challenges for production and the required fixes, involving partners and other areas as required;
  • Designs, leads and provides training procedures and materials to ERP champions across relevant organization functions.
  • Leads and participates in quarterly upgrades of HCM Oracle Cloud.
  • Maintains HCM Oracle Cloud configuration documentation as well as ensures current and relevant data is provided to IT Helpdesk.
  • Provides final level of application support for specialized HCM Oracle Cloud.
  • Develops, tailors and approves work performed on reporting processes as required ensuring integrity of data transactions through applied business rules within specialized HCM Oracle Cloud.
  • Communicates effectively with development team and directs all appropriate operational departments in a variety of communication mediums; leads meetings.
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: employees, vendors and guests.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and positive service-oriented communication.
Education and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in IT or Commerce or Finance or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • 8 or more years of experience with HCM Oracle Cloud analysis and configurations
  • Knowledge of HCM Oracle Cloud is required
  • Superior ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Team player with strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply business requirements to IT solutions
  • Advanced skill in MS Excel and MS Word is required
  • Cognos and SQL experience is preferred
