Position Overview

The Calgary Head Office is seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined

Equipment Service Technician

to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair automotive shop equipment including vehicle hoists, balancers, and tire changers.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize equipment downtime.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

Provide on-site training and technical support to customers regarding equipment operation and safety.

Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair recommendations.

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

Previous mechanical experience and demonstrated mechanical aptitude is required.

Experience with automotive repair equipment (hoists, balancers, tire changers) is an asset.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Valid Alberta driver's license and clean driving record.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment as needed.

Previous forklift driving experience is an asset.
