Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Repair Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Duties

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on machinery and tools. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Identify parts and materials needed for repairs and coordinate with the purchasing department. Ensure all repairs are completed according to safety and quality standards. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving equipment performance. Respond to emergency repair calls in a timely and professional manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and tools. Ensure compliance with all company procedures for various job functions. Organize all work and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and perform appropriate duties for same. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred. Proven experience as a repair technician or in a similar maintenance role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Advanced computer skills for logging repairs and using maintenance software, as well as logging into and troubleshooting computerized equipment. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and work in physically demanding environments

Working Conditions

May require evening, weekend, or on-call hours depending on business needs. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Physical Requirements

Standing and walking for long periods of time Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail The ability to respond quickly to sounds The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in cramped spaces The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations The ability to safely climb stairs while carrying 20-40 pounds
