Parkland County has multiple Equipment Operator II positions available in our Road Maintenance & Drainage Department including permanent full-time, seasonal, temporary and casual positions. Reporting to a Road Maintenance Supervisor, your duties will include operating a variety of trucks and road maintenance equipment. You will perform labour related duties when not operating vehicles or equipment and may be required to work with minimal supervision. The ability to effectively organize equipment and materials to accomplish objectives in an efficient manner and keep accurate, detailed and legible records is required.
The ideal candidate would have the following:Minimum two (2) years' experience operating a variety of equipment including tandem trucks, motor graders, front end loaders, etc.
Valid Alberta Class 3 Operators License with Q (air) endorsement. Upon hire, a current commercial driver's abstract must be provided.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Mechanically inclined.
