full-time, in-clinic Equine Veterinary Technician
to join our
Campbellville sports medicine team
.
This position supports a
very busy and demanding caseload
, with a
high volume of racehorse and performance horse patients
.

One of our valued assistants is moving to a different MPES clinic, creating an opportunity for a new team member to join our Campbellville practice.
What You'll Do
As a Veterinary Technician at MPES, you'll play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Handling, jogging, restraining, and preparing horses for exams and treatments
Assisting with advanced sports medicine procedures, imaging, and therapies
Processing bloodwork in our in-house lab and preparing samples for external submission
Setting up, maintaining, and cleaning diagnostic and medical equipment
Stocking and organizing clinic supplies
Greet clients and assist with invoicing
What You Bring to the Team
We're looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, professionalism, and confidence working around high-energy equine athletes. The ideal candidate:
Has
extensive hands-on horse experience
and is
very confident handling horses
, including
young and excitable horses
Thrives in a
demanding, fast-paced clinical setting
with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Has a genuine passion for equine sports medicine and providing excellent patient care
Is friendly, reliable, and a strong communicator who works well in a team environment
Requirements
Significant, recent experience handling horses (including young or spirited horses)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Able to jog a horse in hand for up to 15 minutes, multiple times per day
Please note: This is a
full-time, year-round, permanent position
and is not suitable for students seeking seasonal work.
