Aspire Software is currently looking for a Contract Manager to join their team!
As a Contract Manager, you will work with an emphasis on the documentation and lifecycle management of contracts and agreements as well as providing business services and support for the department. The Contract Manager will work closely with the sales and legal teams.

What your day will look like:

  • Proactively review agreements to identify action dates and/or issues
  • Prepare and execute monthly contract lifecycle meeting and follows up with contract owners before actionable dates
  • Extract accurate data from contracts; provides analysis and interpretation based on experience
  • Ensure appropriate sign-off from authorized management
  • Provide management with information regarding non-compliance or potential issues
  • Maintain continuous oversight of contract terms and requirements, minimizing risk
  • Work with contract owners to ensure performance and compliance of contracts
  • Resolves internal and external contract-related issues
  • Identifies, defines, and follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Suggests improvements to processes used by the team, department, and company
  • Produce draft of client specific contract documents with meticulous accuracy and ensure the content is thorough and meets the solution requirements
  • Ensure all Contracts have been through correct internal review procedures, including: pricing, legal, accounting, tax, quality assurance, technical delivery, bid sign-off as applicable and per O2O requirements
  • Work with the Sales team and other key contacts to expedite customer signature of contract documents
  • Work to map out and assign correct billing related parameters and coding for executed contracts prior to contract booking
  • Ongoing maintenance of project related documents, contract related templates and processes
  • Partner with internal subject-matter experts on projects and initiatives
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of all documentation associated with all suppliers and services
  • Create and maintains contracts in contract database and work with outside vendors

About you:
  • Minimum three years of experience working with contracts and legal documents in the technology or software sectors
  • Able to skillfully manage a diverse workload and multiple competing priorities
  • Can provide thorough and organized execution of highly detailed tasks under time constraints
  • Have a meticulous and detail-oriented nature, able to detect errors and inconsistencies
  • Organizational skills commensurate with the complexity of the role
  • Manage and improve internal procedures to ensure optimal team efficiency
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure business needs are met
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to influence and confidently deliver messages using clear and concise language or to interpret complex agreements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience negotiating complex deals (both client and supplier)
  • Experience negotiating SAAS contracts.
  • Previous experience drafting legal notices and amendments
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
