Summary The Engineering Technical Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This is a leadership position that integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization and requires long-term planning. This role contributes to the overall strategy of the business and manages complex issues within the MNISS team.Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead a global, cross-business team primarily focused on the Mechanical Nuclear Island Hydraulic Systems (Boron Injection, Isolation Condenser Pool Cooling and Cleanup, Shutdown Cooling, Cleanup Water, and Fuel Pool Cooling and Cleanup Systems).
  • Provide leadership, resources and training needed to ensure high quality deliverables in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Lead activities which include: Delivery of cohesive, high quality technical solutions to internal and external customers in an on-time manner. Development, maintenance, application, and improvement of design and analysis processes (including procedures). Support of business growth initiatives. Development of innovative technical solutions for the BWRX-300 by staying current in industry trends and partnering with stakeholders and leveraging industry relationships. Development of technical talent and technical depth within the organization by creating a positive learning environment that utilizes coaching and mentoring as examples.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in mechanical, nuclear, or similar engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a technical environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a team leader or manager.
  • Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working with customers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced engineering degree.
  • Proven ability to create positive change, think creatively, and respond rapidly to changing priorities and customer needs.
  • Technical knowledge of nuclear island mechanical systems.
  • Actual leadership experience and working knowledge in design, plant systems, and/or operational experience at one or more nuclear power plants.
  • Open communication style and proven ability to develop team relationships, including global teams.
  • Knowledge of BWRX-300 product and customers and GEH business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a vision and direction for a new organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large, matrixed team with multiple demands and priorities.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including cost/schedule control and work planning/execution.
