In your role, you will:

  • Closely interface with operations, methods, systems, stress, interiors, support functions such as thermodynamics, mass properties, projects and program management.
  • Develop and drive engineering changes through the change management system (cost reductions, weight reductions, product improvements, production easements and continuing airworthiness) considering safety, speed, technical requirements, cost, weight etc.
  • Create technical engineering-related (detail parts, assemblies and installations) to resolve urgent green aircraft production issues for structures and systems installation at both the final line and the completions center.
  • Create engineering for green aircraft ferry kits.
  • Lead and support technical and program reviews with other disciplines to support program priorities.
Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,
  • You have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering plus a minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in aerospace or related industry.
  • You have a strong knowledge of aircraft structures and/or systems installation and understand design for manufacturing, part detail and assembly design, change and configuration management, certification requirements, weight control and industry design standards and Bombardier processes.
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5, Enovia and MS Office is required.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you are organized and self-motivated and are creative in finding ways to resolve problems.
  • You are driven to meet your deliverables on time and support your teammates towards meeting our demanding customer driven goals.
  • You must be fluent in English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
  • You have flexibility to support on call work outside of normal hours as part of the teams support to operations.
  • You have experience with both development and sustaining programs. (Asset)
