Position: Engineering Manager
Location: Concord
Job Type: Permanent

We are looking to hire an Engineering Manager for a great client in the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry. Reporting to the EVP of Operations, the incumbent will lead the engineering department and has primarily responsibility for the design of machinery and equipment for customers.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the design and manufacturing of machinery from machine concept to detailed mechanical design including specifying components and systems, and creation of CAD models and drawings
- Manage engineering project management
- Supervise design drafts people and electrical engineering personnel
- Participate in sales and operations planning, production meetings, project meetings
- Provide technical support for customers, manufacturing, suppliers, service personnel, and sales
- Manage the creation and upkeep of internal technical documentation including machine manuals and project files
- Execute other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Professional engineering license (P.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years industrial equipment design experience
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
- Demonstrated abilities in the design and sizing of a wide variety of mechanical components including gear drives, timing belt drives, bearings, structural members, and fabrications
- Experienced in performing load, deflection and stress analysis
- Proficiency in design using SolidWorks
- Experience with Solidworks PDM is an asset
- Self motivated, very organized with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid class G driving license with clean record
- Ability to travel internationally for infrequent business trips
