The Engineering and Start Up Manager oversees all major capital expenditures within the plant. Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be the point person for all projects from conception through installation and commissioning, including new and current initiatives. This is a leadership role, and the Engineering and Start Up Manager will lead a team of Project Managers and contracted third party vendors in all phases when adding new equipment to the facility.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Always ensure the highest safety standards when conducting any business on the Roquette site
• Manage a portfolio of multiple projects and be able to coordinate stakeholders as required
• Empower a team of Project Managers while supporting their goals personally and professionally
• Partner with third party vendors and assist them in completing Roquette initiatives
• Develop budgets and resource lists for all projects considered within the Roquette site
• Adhere to best practices when utilizing vertical start up (VSU) methodology for all new projects
• Collaborate with all internal and external partners on each project
• Deliver status reports to the leadership group in a timely fashion
• Leverage continuous improvement opportunities and always be exploring process improvement

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related technical field such as industrial mechanics, energy, piping, etc.
• Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in an industrial plant or similar environment
• Full understanding of major CAPEX projects that include installation and vertical start up (VSU)
• Proven success managing a portfolio of projects valued in the $5m - $10m range
• 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience leading and developing a team of Project Managers
• Experience in developing budgets for large CAPEX projects in an industrial setting
• Experience in food, chemical, feed, or oil industries is preferred
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is encouraged
• Successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders \xe2\x80\x93 able to achieve influence without authority
