The Engagement and Diversity Advisor plays a key role in advancing strategic initiatives related to engagement, culture and our people processes.







Working as part of the Engagement and Culture team, and reporting to the Lead, Engagement and Diversity, you will support essential strategic initiatives including our Employee Engagement Strategy; Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) Strategy and Hydro's Accessibility Plan; and Employee Recognition. As part of this you will provide key guidance in these areas both within the team and when collaborating and/or interfacing with other groups.







Fundamental to this role will be the advancement of initiatives in our newly completed Employee Engagement Strategy. This will include completing identified actions, liaising with various stakeholders and recommending other enhancements.







Responsibilities:



You will provide guidance, based on your expertise, in improving the work environment for equity deserving groups and continuing to advance IDEA at Hydro. This will include collaborating on and helping to execute Strategy tactics and advising on ad hoc situations and questions as they arise.







You will manage our Employee Recognition Program including our awards of excellence and our long service awards. In addition to this you will recommend ways to enhance recognition across the organization.







You will work with groups from across the business from our front lines to our executive. To be successful in this role you must have the ability to develop and foster a relationship of mutual respect with diverse individuals and have the ability to work collaboratively to review, recommend and communicate improvement opportunities and advance our people based strategies.







Qualifications:



Degree in business or a related discipline, with a minimum of five years of experience in people related fields like human resources, diversity and inclusion and/or culture. Extensive experience advancing the work for equity seeking groups would be an asset for this role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.







This position may be eligible for hybrid work arrangements subject to Management approval.
