Purpose

This role will support the renewable energy market research and project acquisition efforts - data gathering, collection, analysis and assimilation, trend reporting, etc. You will gain a deeper understanding of developments relating to the renewable industry in this role and get involved in renewable energy generation project transactions.

Accountabilities

• Conduct research on power markets across the US and Canada to support the development and acquisition of renewable energy generation projects

• Analyze the current state of renewable energy project development in North America, and the activities of key players in the industry

• Assist with team\'s ongoing due diligence efforts for the acquisition of renewable energy generation projects

• Stay on top of industry news, policies, and trends, ensuring the team is kept informed of key developments in the North American energy markets

• Review and analyze special areas of interest relative to renewable generation projects - solar and wind technologies

Education and Experience

• 2nd to 4th year student attending College or University with a focus on Business, Policy, Commerce, Geography, or Renewable Energies

• Market research experience of both public sources and industry databases

• Data collection, analysis and presentation skills

• Basic understanding of financial metrics that drive financial success in private enterprise

• Strong working knowledge relating to commodity market fundamentals

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, Salesforce, PowerBI or similar tools
