Introduction to Schneider Electric in Victoria, BC
Schneider Electric is excited to offer a 4 or 8 month co-op opportunity to join our global team based in Victoria, BC Canada. In this role, you will help support teams develop their cyber security capabilities. The Digital Power cybersecurity team is a global team focused on building more secure products.

What will you do?
The Cybersecurity Analyst Co-op student will have an opportunity to work with both the cybersecurity, and product development teams within Schneider. They will be part of our team helping to increase the security capabilities of Schneider Electric products. Generally, this co-op position will focus on helping to build infrastructure to support cybersecurity related activities within the cybersecurity and project teams. Examples of day-to-day activities include:

• Helping improve our current defect tracking and management systems.
• Developing DevSecOps tools to automate cybersecurity related tasks.
• Gathering and organizing Cybersecurity related specifications from individual project teams.
• Helping to support the development of cybersecurity training.
• Working with the Cybersecurity team to build lab and tool capabilities.
• Defect verification and analysis.

(External) English Qualifications:
What qualifications will make you successful?

• Currently working towards a degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Coding and debugging experience.
• Some familiarity with Cyber Security areas of practice such as defense in depth design, secure coding, vulnerability analysis, threat modeling, security controls.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
