On behalf of our client, a leading specialized boutique law firm, we are seeking an accomplished Employment Law Lawyer to join their team. This is a rare opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters ranging from workplace investigations and policy drafting to high-stakes litigation, while advising a diverse roster of clients. What you will be doing:



Manage files from initial consultation through to resolution. Prepare legal documents including correspondence, legal opinions, memos, briefs, pleadings, motion records, factums, and other documents as required. Draft, review, and advise on employment contracts, workplace policies, severance agreements, termination letters, etc. Conduct Examination for Discovery, Mediations, Motions, Trials, etc. Provide strategic and practical advice to clients in contentious employment matters, including wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, human rights, post employment obligations, etc. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide informed recommendations to clients. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and other external parties as required.

What you will bring to the position:



Minimum of five (5) years of employment litigation experience. Lawyer licensed to practice law in the Province of Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Experience before the Ontario Court and Superior Court of Justice. Familiarity with employment standards, human rights legislation, and other relevant workplace statutes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and litigation legal software and research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw, CanLII, etc.). Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
