Live training (in-person and remote): emergency response, fire extinguisher and custom training to groups between 1 and 60 people.
Site audits to collect information about buildings to write fire safety plans.
Assist with the development and training of our staff in a workplace health and safety capacity.
Other responsibilities suited to your skills and interests as the company evolves.
In these roles, you will interact with our clients, their staff, our suppliers, our administration team, drafting group, fire plan writers, and our senior management.

Responsibilities:
Site Audits:
- Perform on-site analysis of buildings to identify and document life safety systems across Canada for many different types of organizations. Including but not limited to high-rise buildings, restaurants, schools, commercial leased spaces, residential buildings, etc.- Annotate floor plans for the drafting group.
Training:
- Develop site-specific evacuation strategies that respect the unique hazards and safety features of sophisticated industrial and commercial complexes.
- Candidate will reference National and Provincial Fire Codes where needed.
- Candidate will be expected to familiarize themselves, utilizing Fire Plan Strategies tools, with various Fire Life Safety protection systems.
- Maintain project awareness of several projects (at different stages) at once, ensuring we can deliver our service on time to our clients.
- Assist with the development of training staff in critical safety measures.
Qualifications:
Must have experience, either academic or work in, Emergency Services/prevention
High School Diploma or its equivalent (diploma or degree preferred)
Strong computer skills
The ability to interpret Floor Plans
Strong attention to detail
The ability to problem-solve when required
The ability to manage tasks and prioritize work as required. There are times when there are pressing projects with tight deadlines and it is important to be able to handle the pressure that may go along with it.
Willingness to learn about the different types of Life Safety Systems that can be found throughout our different projects

Job Type:
Contract; paid upon receipt of an invoice - bi-weekly; standard hours required per project are preset by management and will be communicated ahead of each project.
Please note that this is a contract role with approximately 20 hours available bi-weekly.
