The positions will consist of 8.5 and 9 hour shifts for 1,440 hours annually. As part of the Emergency Medicine team, you will be responsible for providing clinical medical services to individuals presenting to the emergency department, including trauma, stroke and pediatric care.The (SHA) is the largest organization in Saskatchewan, employing over 44,000 employees and physicians responsible for the delivery of high quality and timely health care for the entire province. Physicians may have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and post-graduate education at the University of Saskatchewan (USask). The College has a well-resourced framework across the continuum that results in quality community partnerships, successful and comparable students across all sites, elevated community health, and better graduate retention in communities.Job QualificationsThe candidate must have a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada in Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM).
The successful candidate must be registered and licensed to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Physicians must maintain membership and insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association and must be legally entitled to work in Canada. The successful candidate is required to hold current certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Ultrasound skills are an asset and will be required or expected to obtain.In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.Relocation PackageThis opportunity may be eligible to receive the Emergency Medicine Emergency Medicine Recruitment and Retention Incentive of up to $200,000!
