The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse. EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care. The only restriction that has been identified governing their participation in these departments is; No duties can restrict them from responding immediately to any ambulance calls. EMTs shall abide by the Sunrise Health Region and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures.

Valid Class 4 driver's license
Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
