YOUR ROLE
As an Embedded Software Developer on our team, you'll join a highly skilled "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team delivering mission critical Real-Time Operating System for avionics and automotive applications. In your daily job you will:

  • Develop and deliver high quality design and code.
  • Develop and deliver high quality documentation used for DO-178 certification evidence.
  • Ability to review DO-178 artifacts and provide guidance to conform to Certification standards
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development process using Agile development.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
  • BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).
  • Local resident of the greater Ottawa area with ability to work physically on-site 3 days/week or more.
  • Legally able to work in the Country of Canada without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship/transfer.
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant technical experience in software development.
  • Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shells scripts.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.
  • Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.
  • Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.
  • Knowledge of RTOS software development a plus.
  • Certification experience is a plus.
  • ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC Experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.
