Job Description

The Breakfast Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes to the highest standards. This role requires early-morning availability, efficiency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Breakfast Cook will ensure that food quality, presentation, and safety are maintained, contributing to a positive customer experience.

The Breakfast Attendant will be responsible for ensuring a pleasant and efficient breakfast service for all hotel guests. This role involves preparing and replenishing breakfast items, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, and providing exceptional customer service.

This is a Full Time

"Hybrid Position"

where you will work 2 days as Breakfast Cook and 3 days as Breakfast Attendant.

Shifts:

(Breakfast Cook) Saturday - Sunday, 4:30am to 12:00pm

(Breakfast Attendant) 6:30am - 1:30pm

Breakfast Cook Responsibilities



Prepare and cook breakfast buffet items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns

Breakfast prep like cutting fruits and vegetables, bacon rolls, slicing meat

Set up and arrange the breakfast area with buffet items

Prepare and replenish breakfast items such as cereals, pastries, fruits, and hot dishes

Ensure that all ingredients are properly stored and labeled

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including countertops, cooking utensils, and appliances

Follow proper sanitation and hygiene practices, including hand washing and cleaning surfaces

Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup duties

Receiving and storing food deliveries in Chef's absence

Monitor ingredient levels and inform the Chef of any shortages or needed supplies

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and workplace safety protocols

Breakfast Attendant Responsibilities



Assist in cooking breakfast buffet items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, has browns

Assist in breakfast prep like cutting fruits and vegetables, bacon rolls, slicing meat

Set up and arrange the breakfast area with food, beverages, and utensils

Prepare and replenish breakfast items such as cereals, pastries, fruits, and hot dishes

Monitor food temperatures and ensure that all items are fresh and safe for consumption

Greet guests warmly and ensure their breakfast experience is pleasant

Assist guests with their breakfast needs, including serving as needed

Address any guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally

Provide information about the breakfast menu and any special dietary options available

Keep the breakfast area clean and organized, including tables, chairs, and floors

Wash and restock dishes as needed

Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and food storage areas regularly

Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed

General cleaning of the kitchen

Other duties as assigned to support operational needs and team objectives

Job Requirements



Must have FoodSafe certification

Previous experience in cooking is required

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is an asset

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Reliable, punctual and excellent time management skills is an asset

Must have attention to detail

Must be able to work independently and maintain the professional standards

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

Flexible schedule, including availability for early morning shifts and weekends

Adaptable to the demands of the shift

Wage: Breakfast Cook $ 23.00



Wage: Breakfast Attendant $ 21.00
