The Breakfast Attendant will support the Chef in serving breakfast buffet items. This position is responsible for ensuring a pleasant and efficient breakfast service for all hotel guests. This role involves preparing and replenishing breakfast items, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Set up and arrange the breakfast area with food, beverages, and utensils.
Prepare and replenish breakfast items such as cereals, pastries, fruits, and hot dishes.
Monitor food temperatures and ensure that all items are fresh and safe for consumption.
Greet guests warmly and ensure their breakfast experience is pleasant.
Assist guests with their breakfast needs, including serving as needed.
Address any guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
Provide information about the breakfast menu and any special dietary options available.
Keep the breakfast area clean and organized, including tables, chairs, and floors.
Wash and restock dishes as needed.
Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and food storage areas regularly.
Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
General cleaning of the kitchen.
Assist, as needed, in cooking breakfast buffet items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns.
Assist in breakfast prep like cutting fruits and vegetables, bacon rolls, slicing meat.
Other duties as assigned to support operational needs and team objectives.
Job Requirements
Must have FoodSafe certification.
Previous experience in cooking is an asset.
Previous experience in food service or hospitality is required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Reliable, punctual and excellent time management skills is an asset.
Must have attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently and maintain the professional standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Flexible schedule, including availability for early morning shifts and weekends.
Adaptable to the demands of the shift.
Wage: $21.00 per hour plus tips
