Email Marketing & Retention Manager

as we are building autonomous AI agents, AI infrastructure and AI Operating System to empower B2C and B2B customers worldwide.


This is a

remote part-time (5-10 hrs/week) contract role.

NinjaTech AI built an Agentic AI product from the ground up: we use cutting edge tools and do a lot of innovative work, move quickly and prioritize fast iteration and quick delivery.


Reporting directly to the VP of Product (ex-Google), you will help up to solve thesechallenges:

Engage almost 1M free users:

Design and execute data-driven email campaigns that activate free users and guide them toward paid conversion.

Reduce churn and increase retention:

Build sophisticated nurturing and retention flows that keep our growing paid user base engaged and educated.

Optimize onboarding flows:

Reimagine and improve our current onboarding and activation email sequences to increase product adoption.

Drive revenue through email:

Create targeted campaigns that support upsell and renewal initiatives while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

What you will do:



Email Campaign Strategy & Execution:

Own the email marketing function end-to-end, from strategy development to copywriting, design coordination, and deployment across the customer lifecycle.

Retention & Nurturing Flows:

Design and build automated email flows for onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, win-back, and expansion, using behavioral triggers and advanced segmentation.

Copywriting & Content Creation:

Write engaging, conversion-focused email copy that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Segmentation & Personalization:

Develop and implement advanced segmentation strategies to deliver personalized experiences based on user behavior, product usage, subscription tier, and lifecycle stage.

Data Analysis & Optimization:

Monitor and analyze key email metrics (open rates, CTRs, conversion rates, churn impact, revenue attribution) and continuously optimize campaigns through A/B testing and experimentation.

Strategic Recommendations:

Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey, reduce friction points, and increase lifetime value through email marketing initiatives.

About your qualifications:



3-5+ years of hands-on email marketing experience

in B2B SaaS and/or B2C environments, with a proven track record of managing email marketing end-to-end. Experience with Ortto is a plus.

Retention & nurturing expertise:

Demonstrated experience building complex, multi-step email flows for onboarding, activation, retention, and expansion.

Exceptional copywriting skills:

Ability to write clear, compelling, and conversion-focused email copy that engages diverse audiences.

Data-driven approach:

Proven ability to use analytics to drive decisions, with specific examples of how you've improved open rates, CTRs, conversion rates, and retention metrics.

Segmentation mastery:

Deep understanding of customer segmentation strategies and experience implementing sophisticated targeting based on behavior, lifecycle stage, and product usage.

Strategic thinking:

Ability to think beyond tactics and develop comprehensive email strategies that align with business goals and customer needs.

Self-starter mentality:

Comfortable working independently in a part-time capacity while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
This is an hourly-paid, 1099-contract position. Bill rate DOE and candidate's location.
