Overview



Teach Grades 3-8 in a modern K-12 school that blends Ontario curriculum with Oji-Cree language, land-based learning and community traditions. Average class size is 20-30 students with an Educational Assistant assigned to every room.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver Grades 3-8 Ontario curriculum, integrating Indigenous perspectives and local knowledge Differentiate instruction using UDL and other inclusive strategies Use diagnostic, formative and summative assessment tools; develop IEPs where required Incorporate educational technology (SmartBoards, tablets, laptops) and outdoor learning Maintain a positive, culturally responsive classroom; participate in school-wide and community events

Qualifications

OCT Preferred / Eligibility Accepted



EITHER

Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) member in good standing

OR

Demonstrated eligibility to register(e.g., Canadian teaching licence transferable to Ontario, or completion of an accredited B.Ed./teacher-prep program) Bachelor of Education (Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate) or equivalent recognized teacher-education credential Experience teaching Grades 3-8; multi-grade or remote/First Nations experience an asset Knowledge of Indigenous pedagogy or willingness to learn; strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Check

Salary & Benefits



$58,000 - $104,000, based on QECO category and experience Free furnished housing (utilities included, excl. internet/cable) within walking distance to school Two paid return flights per year plus $500 freight allowance each way Comprehensive health, dental, life insurance, pension plan, Paid relocation assistance and sustained professional-development support
