Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary

Literature Teacher

to join our educational team.

Unlike traditional approaches that focus solely on reading and writing, our method introduces children to the diverse and inspiring world of literature. Students explore a wide range of stories, authors, and cultures, learning to appreciate literature not just as a subject but as a way to understand themselves and the world around them.

Duties

Design and deliver engaging lessons that introduce children to diverse forms of literature Guide students in reading, discussion, and creative projects that deepen their love for stories and ideas Foster an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and encouraged to express themselves Collaborate with colleagues to integrate literature with other subject areas and school projects Mentor students in their academic journey while promoting social skills and emotional well-being. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in professional development opportunities. Organize library services and resources to support literacy education within the classroom.

Experience

Degree in Education, English, Literature, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Experience teaching elementary-aged children Passion for children's literature and an understanding of its role in child development Creativity, patience, and strong communication skills Commitment to Humanistic Education and the Culture of Peace values Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, including classroom experience or private school experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$21.22 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 9 per week
