Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and the underwater world? Ping DSP Inc., an international leader in 3D imaging and mapping sonar systems, is seeking a highly skilled Production Technologist to join our dynamic team.

At Ping DSP, we develop advanced sonar technologies for applications that include; hydrographic surveying, marine habitat mapping, search and recovery, underwater archaeology, and exploring the world's oceans, lakes, and rivers. Our products are deployed on virtually every type on surface and underwater vehicle and are trusted by industry professionals for accurate, high-resolution mapping and 3D sonar imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly & Testing

: Build and test high-performance sonar systems, ensuring all components meet technical and quality specifications.

Troubleshooting

: Diagnose and resolve production issues related to electronic and mechanical sonar system components.

Quality Control

: Perform rigorous testing and calibration to ensure optimal system performance in demanding underwater environments.

Documentation

: Maintain detailed records of production processes, testing outcomes, and system improvements.

Collaboration

: Work closely with our engineering, design, and software teams to bring state-of-the-art sonar technologies from concept to deployment.

Production Engineering

: Help improve production processes by developing hardware and software to automate processes, reduce delivery times, and increase reliability.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field. Hands-on experience in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electronics, ideally in a production setting. Careful attention to detail and passion for a job well done Excellent communications in English Respectful and supportive of co-workers

Start Date and Location

Start date is as soon as possible Location is on site at our office in North Saanich (close to YYJ, BC Ferries and Sidney)

Pay: $57,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
