We're working with Valid Manufacturing in Salmon Arm, to find an Electrical Assembler.

The Electronics Assembler will perform assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies, including wiring harnesses and air manifolds, according to specifications under the supervision and direction of the Electronics Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies, including wiring harnesses and air manifolds.
Testing of assembled units ensuring that product quality is met.
Safe handling of electronic components and assemblies.
Collecting and recording data for computer analysis and tracking.
Reviewing test results and dealing with non-conforming products as needed.
Conducting incoming inspection and testing of purchased components to ensure adherence to specifications.
Testing Valid manufactured items to ensure adherence to specifications.
Using computerized testing equipment in performance of duties.
Using hand and power tools such as screw drivers, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, and cordless drills etc.
Supporting material handling tasks including picking parts and inventory counts.
Providing assistance and support to senior staff working as part of a team. Works with general supervision and is responsible for ensuring quality of assigned work.
Skills & Abilities
Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings required for the electrical, mechanical and pneumatic assembly of a wide variety of Valid products.
Ability to identify, configure, record and track a variety of assemblies and their component parts through all stages of the product life cycle.
Ability to identify components and assemblies by part number, type, function, size and color.
Capacity to repetitively perform high quality work with attention to details.
Strong ability to organize and prioritize work for best efficiency with limited or general supervision.
Experience with schematics and electronic circuit trouble shooting is an asset.
Employees should be computer literate and able to use custom in-house software, label printing software and Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Access.
Demonstrated initiative and willingness to contribute and participate as part of the team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical experience and/or aptitude is an asset.
Exhibits maturity, professionalism, and a customer-first focus
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to stand for long periods
Must be able to work on ladders and/or scaffolding
Must be able to stoop, kneel and crouch at times to perform assigned tasks
Must be able to use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects skillfully.

Working Conditions:
Manufacturing shop environment.
May be required to work shift work and should be available to work overtime if requested.
