This job is best suited for individuals who enjoy building things with their hands, pay close attention to detail and are meticulous by nature. You will be assembling a variety of instruments consisting of electrical and mechanical components. Previous assembly or soldering experience is preferred. As part of the production team your goal will be to assemble each product to the same exacting standards every time. Job is on-site, in person Monday to Friday.
Duties
Assemble geophysical instrumentation using hand tools, punches, crimpers, multi-meters in addition to soldering wires and small surface mount components.
Interpret simple mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
Manufacturing work environment.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly processes.
Proficiency in soldering techniques.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Competence in using hand tools, multi meters and soldering equipment.
Previous experience in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Qualifications
High School Diploma
Must be fluent in English
Must be a Canadian citizen or have Permanent Resident Status.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
