We are currently providing an opportunity for a well-rounded safety focused individual to join our team in the position of Electro Mechanical Technician at our Brookside Manufacturing Facility.

Please note: We are currently hiring for various skill levels from entry level to senior skill sets.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about safety, doesn\xe2\x80\x99t shy away from a challenge and is comfortable working in an environment where the noise level can be excessive at times.

About the Position:

Aside from the excitement of working in a busy manufacturing facility, the essential duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Promoting and adhering to our safety and respectful workplace culture and instilling this culture in the station while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance with all Government Labour, Health and Safety laws, regulations and policies.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP\xe2\x80\x99s) and HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR UNSAFE ACTS!;
  • Plan and carry out work assignments and handle problems in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training or accepted company practices and procedures;
  • Installation of electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic components into various systems and sub-systems;
  • Performing diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of various electrical related components, sub-systems and systems;
  • Building of electrical and electronic systems and sub-systems for Gylcol concentrators and other industrial equipment;
  • As required, assisting in the installation of electrical and mechanical components, and sub systems at Inland operating sites;
  • Participating in the testing and calibration of Inland equipment, in particular the glycol concentrator;
  • Installation, repair and maintenance of facilities related to electrical systems;
  • Ensure all reporting; record keeping, and communications are complete, accurate and timely as per company policies;
  • While this position\xe2\x80\x99s duties and responsibilities are prioritized towards electrical and electronic related components and systems, this position will also include mechanical related duties as directed by management, including general labour duties;
  • Perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by management request.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma \xe2\x80\x93 Electro Mechanical Technician, or equivalent experience;
  • Previous experience with industrial mechanical and electrical, electronic and computer controls required to install and maintain modern industrial plant equipment;
  • The ability to read blueprints;
  • Proficient understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic/computer systems, including PLC\xe2\x80\x99s;
  • Proficient understanding of electro mechanical theory;
  • Solid mechanical aptitude;
  • Read, write, speak and communicate effectively;
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to work independently to achieve project goals before deadline;
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, with an ability to motivate and work in a team environment;
  • Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers.
