Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, including experience in industrial settings. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of various hand and power tools. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Work on low voltage systems as well as high voltage installations when required. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction or renovation projects to ensure timely completion. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively. Familiarity with low voltage wiring and installations is a plus. Experience with renovation projects is desirable. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to electrical work. A maintenance person background may be beneficial for this role. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. Must possess a valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
