About the Position
This position requires the Electrical Technician to perform various low and high-voltage electrical maintenance tasks in a food manufacturing plant. The candidate must have good electrical and mechanical knowledge, as well as ample experience with programmable logic controllers. This position is under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Solve PLC and instrumentation problems
Responsible for the care and maintenance of all electrical and electronic shop equipment and tools
Responsible for following ALL Safety Rules and Guidelines
Install a wide variety of electrical devices and control circuits
Install conduits and wiring
Repair/rebuild/troubleshoot/perform upgrades to electrical equipment
Read logic diagrams and understand PLC principles
Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders
Demonstrate excellent mechanical & electrical troubleshooting skills
Continuous improvement
Perform other assigned tasks as needed
Instrument calibration (Flow Reader, PH Probe, Pressure Switch)
Required Skills and Qualifications
Detail oriented with good verbal and written skills
Requires lifting, standing, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, bending, kneeling and working with tools
Demonstrate the necessary skill sets to perform the above listed duties
PLC troubleshooting capability (Allen Bradley, PLC-5, SCL-500, Control Logix),operator interface (Allen-Bradley RSView32, FactoryTalk View)
Extensive knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment
Knowledge of variable frequency drives/instrumentation and calibration
Good knowledge of computers
Good troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Safety-driven
Knowledge and experience in PLC programming
Education or Work Experience
Have experience in an industrial environment, ideally in instrumentation
Hold a non-construction electrician qualification (License C) or be in the process of obtaining it
Hold a college diploma (DEC) in Industrial Electronics Technology or Instrumentation and Control
Additional Information
Follow ADM\'s health and safety standards
Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
Must be willing to respond to troubleshooting calls after hours 1 week out of 3, and to visit the facility when necessary
