Electrical Technician (Electrical Journeyman)Alberta Newsprint Company (ANC), a joint venture of the Stern Group and West Fraser Timber Company Ltd., is a leading manufacturer of premium paper products. Instrumentation will be considered if it is a dual ticket alongside an Electrical Journeyman.Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Maintain electrical equipment such as VFD\xe2\x80\x99s, Distribution Switch Gear, Transformers, and AC/DC Motors and Drives\xc2\xb7 Maintain and develop DCS/PLC process control systems\xc2\xb7 Perform, develop and update PM requirements for process plant equipment\xc2\xb7 Participate in shutdown planning and scheduling activities as required\xc2\xb7 Participate in RCM investigations of equipment failures and reliability issues and follow-up of corrective actions\xc2\xb7 Update and create equipment documents and job procedures\xc2\xb7 Be committed to our values of respect, trust, integrity, team work and innovationQualifications:\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently while contributing to a self-managing team\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated maintenance best practices for equipment care\xc2\xb7 Experience in DCS/PLC programming\xc2\xb7 Experience with projects and project managementMinimum requirements:\xc2\xb7 Provincial trade certificate as an Electrical Journeyman\xc2\xb7 A minimum of 5 years of industrial journeyman maintenance experience\xc2\xb7 Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent\xc2\xb7 A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s licensePreference will be given to:\xc2\xb7 Power Generation experience\xc2\xb7 Dual ticketed journeyman in Electrical and Instrumentation\xc2\xb7 Working with ABB Infi90, 800xA experience\xc2\xb7 Pulp and Paper maintenance experienceAt ANC, we help you focus on your individual growth by providing diverse training opportunities, assistance with advancing your education, and internal succession planning.
