Fernie Alpine Resort is looking to fill the position of full time
ticketed Red Seal Electrician
. Reporting to the Lift Maintenance Manager and or electrical supervisor, the ideal candidate will be a motivated individual capable of being a team player who enjoys working in a rugged mountain environment in all conditions. You will be part of a team of 4 with electricians working alongside very knowledgeable, experienced and passionate team of millwrights.
Duties:
Participate in an extensive preventative Maintenance program
Complete electrical work on Ski lifts, buildings and equipment
Assist in the trouble shooting and repair of Ski lifts, buildings and equipment
Operate various vehicles for mountain access including snowmobiles, ATV's, 4-wheel drive trucks
Required to work outdoors, at heights in all weather conditions, including lift towers and on ladders
Required to work in a maintenance shop environment
Demonstrate a good and professional work ethic at all times around other staff and public
Ensure personal safety and safety of others, staff and guests
Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or higher
Red Seal Electrician
Aptitude towards problem solving an asset
Good math skills an asset
Ski lift experience and working at heights preferred
Outdoor sports orientated an asset
Proven ability to complete required tasks independently
Work well with others, demonstrates good communication skills
Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and/or extended periods of exertion required

Shift schedule is based on 4 X 10 hour days.
