POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated electrical estimator to join our team. This individual will have excellent current knowledge of both commercial and industrial electrical systems and installation practices along with electrical codes and regulations. The applicant must also possess excellent time management skills and be capable of managing multiple tenders simultaneously.

Shift:

_5 days a week; 8 hours per day; Overtime paid after 40hrs/week

Location: Office based position, ideally situated in our Regina office

Base Wage: starting at $41/hr, depending on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in site reviews, prepare tender risk assessments, and tender reviews. Accurately calculate material and quantity take-offs from drawings. Review specifications and design drawings to determine the total scope of work to be performed and material requirements. Oversee price packages from suppliers and subcontractors. Maintaining files of working documents to be used as backups for estimate figures as well as maintaining current and accurate information on supplier prices, price lists, unit prices and quantity estimates. Examining and analyzing estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness of work pricing. Establish and maintain good customer relations with site personnel and customers Comply with Company's corporate Health and Safety manual Adhere to the Company and the customers policies and procedures as they apply to each project Attend daily/weekly site meetings and all training required Maintain clean driving abstract and Drug and Alcohol clearance Maintain excellent hygiene Maintain a professional image and a high level of service with customers and co-workers during all contact, displaying positive behaviour, attitude, and workmanship habits in a respectful and empathetic way Lead others by example Any other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist certificate. 2 years working knowledge of estimating software a requirement. Proven ability to meet deadlines. Multitasking and ability to prioritize while maintaining an attention to detail. Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices and standards. High level of experience in working with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel and Word. Excellent ability to think critically and problem solve outside of the box. Effective communication skills verbal and written. Willing to train the right individual that possesses the right combination of experience and education along with the right attitude. Valid Class 5 driver's license Clear and Maintain a clean driving and drug and alcohol clearance Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
