Perform electrical studies such as power flow, short circuit, dynamic analysis and harmonic analysis
Model and analyze power systems using tools like PSS/E, PSLF, ETAP, ASPEN and PSCAD
Prepare and review technical reports, specifications and proposals
Collaborate with clients and project teams to meet scope, schedule and budget requirements
Assist or lead technical proposal development for study opportunities
Contribute to FACTS and HVDC control system design, including STATCOM and inverter-based renewable generation.

Summary of certifications and job requirements
Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in electrical engineering (power systems specialization)
P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration
At least 5 years of relevant experience in power systems and studies
Proficiency with power system software (PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD)
Experience performing studies such as power flow, short circuit, and dynamic and transient analysis
Experience with Python
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Familiarity with EMTP, ASPEN and/or RTDS
Knowledge of electrical protection and control systems
Familiarity with IEEE, NEC or IEC standards
