Join the Science & Innovation team at the Ulnooweg Education Centre. The ideal candidate will have a high level of curiosity, initiative, ingenuity, and professionalism. You have a passion for experiential learning, advanced education, and various pedagogical approaches. THE OPPORTUNITY: The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of educational programming for Indigenous youth in grades primary to grade 12 across Mi\xe2\x80\x99kma\xe2\x80\x99ki/Atlantic Canada. We are seeking applications of those who have skills in areas of expertise surrounding maker space environments, ocean literacy, space sciences and natural sciences to support ongoing projects in land-based learning programs. We strive to deliver all programs with a positive attitude through excitement and enthusiasm for continuous learning. The collaboration with partners, community members and Knowledge Navigators is essential in guiding all program development QUALIFICATIONS:
- Capacity and experience working with diverse knowledge systems grounded in the Mi\xe2\x80\x99kmaw understanding of Etuaptmumk; the gift of multiple perspectives or Two-eyed Seeing and commitment to practices that align with Netukulimk.
- Experience with Indigenous organizations, communities and/or youth serving groups, and knowledge holders.
- Post-Secondary education in any STEAM related fi eld or Education.
- Two years of related experience in the design, development and delivery of educational programming that enhanced the quality and impact of the learning experience for students.
- Skills in web development, robotics, coding, 3D printing and design.
- Fluent in Microsoft 365 software and products.
- Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audience types and learning styles
- Valid provincial driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
