Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist

Remote, CA, Canada

Job Description

About Us

We are the team behind

Envelopes.com, JAM Paper, and Folders.com

-- three of the most recognized names in stationery and office supplies. With decades of heritage, deep product authority, and a reputation for reliability, we have built a strong foundation in what many view as a mature category. But we believe there is far more potential ahead.

We are not looking for someone to run a check box marketing strategy. We want a creative thinker who can help us push beyond the expected -- finding new ways to acquire customers, re-engage them with fresh and relevant campaigns, and reward their loyalty through experiences that make our brands feel distinctive and memorable.

What You'll Do

Plan, execute, and maintain product merchandising strategies across our e-commerce storefronts (Magento). Manage category pages, product grids, cross-sells, upsells, and on-site promotions in alignment with sales and marketing plans. Collaborate with design, marketing, and inventory teams to launch seasonal collections, limited editions, and promotional campaigns. Analyze product performance (sales, conversion, margins), identify underperformers, and suggest improvements (placement, copy, imagery). Create and optimize product detail pages--titles, descriptions, images, variants, SEO keywords. Monitor inventory levels, flag out-of-stock or oversupply risks, and feed insights back to buying/planning. A/B test merchandising modules, banners, filters, and site features to improve customer engagement. Stay on top of e-commerce/retail trends, competitor sites, and consumer behaviors in stationery, craft, and gift segments.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

3-5 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce merchandising (or similar role) in consumer goods, ideally stationery, home, gift, or craft categories. Experience with Searchspring a strong plus (but not required) Strong analytical skills with comfort in Excel, Google Sheets, and e-commerce analytics tools (e.g. Magento reports, Google Analytics). Familiarity with SEO for product pages and an understanding of what drives search ranking and conversion. Good visual eye--appreciation for photography, layout, consistency in branding, and product presentation. Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. Bonus: experience with A/B testing tools, merchandising or personalization platforms, or experience in subscription / gift box businesses.
