We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations. The Route Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care during transit. Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, changes, and any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization. Utilize forklifts for loading and unloading when necessary.

Skills

Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address their needs effectively. Experience with commercial driving, including knowledge of road safety regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory management practices. Proficiency in operating forklifts is a plus. Excellent communication skills to relay information clearly between team members and customers. Capability to adapt to changing schedules and routes efficiently.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
