Full : About the Busy Bee Daycare: The Busy Bee Daycare is a new child care centre located in the community of Falher, Alberta and servicing the region of Smoky River. Busy Bee Daycare is a non-profit centre with a passion to provide quality child care. The child care centre provides fully licensed childcare to 21 children aged 19 months to 12. Busy Bee Daycare prides itself on following the Alberta FLIGHT curriculum and is a diverse, inclusive environment where children are encouraged and supported as they grow.

What We Need: We are looking for an energetic and inspiring educator who is professional and respectful. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can work efficiently to prioritize important tasks in a busy and dynamic environment. Additionally, we are looking for someone with excellent problem-solving and time management skills with a passion for early childhood education.

The Opportunity: Busy Bee Daycare is currently seeking Early Childhood Educators who will report to the Busy Bee Daycare Executive Director. The Early Childhood Educators will establish and maintain a well-designed physical indoor learning environment conducive to the optimal development of the child, that is safe and attractive and always inclusive promote and nurture children's positive sense of self and belonging through supportive relationships. Demonstrate respectful, positive interactions and communication with children. Plan for the needs of individual children, considering their interests, abilities and styles of learning. Observe development and behavior management of children with suspected special needs. Record daily attendance and to add up their hours at the end of each week. Be responsible for daily set-up of equipment and supplies for their room each day. Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate has a certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education with a Level I or II certification. The candidate must meet the standards for qualification and professional development as required by the Province of Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulation including a current First Aid and CPR certificate, a Child Intervention Record Check, Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector search that are all valid within the last 6 months. Fluency in the French language would also be an asset.
