Level 1, 2, or 3 (Untrained candidates welcome with commitment to training)

We are

expanding

! Small World Learning Centre is opening a

new location next door

to our current site at 352 York Street, Bridgewater.

We are a non-profit organization that has been in the community since 1978.



We provide programs for children aged

18 months to 12 years

Reggio-inspired curriculum with a

strong focus on forest and nature play

We welcome applicants who are untrained but committed to becoming an ECE Level 2 within 2-3 years.

Main Duties:



The Early Childhood Educator should be able to:



Coordinate and facilitate groups, with the ability to plan, develop, implement, monitor, promote and evaluate centre-based programs Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, families, community and partners Works well both independently and with minimal supervision Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) Apply strong organizational and administrative skills. Manage time and prioritize tasks. Demonstrate an interest and willingness to pursue professional development opportunities Enjoy and work well with children Attend monthly Staff meetings Record and complete all monthly documentation Complete individual portfolio pages on each child in the classroom

Required Qualifications:



Provide mandatory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check Early Childhood Education Certification Level 1, 2, 3 preferred Current First Aid, Infant CPR and WHMIS Computer knowledge and experience Experience with children Own transportation, must have living arrangements in the Bridgewater area
